Project: Red Cross Ribbon widget (www.supportjapan.info)

Description:
As a Japanese creative/citizen I wanted to do something for people who were affected by this tragedy, and I made a simple but utilitarian Red Cross Ribbon widget.

You can install the ribbon just by coping one JavaScript code to your website, just like how you embed YouTube video to your blog/website. And the ribbon links to the Red Cross Japan relief donation page.

It reached over 10 million ribbon loads after 2.5 months after the site launch. All my thoughts are with people in Japan.

I'd very much appreciate your support for Japan.

Project: One Pixel One Pushpin (www.onepixelonepushpin.com)

Description: "One Pixel One Pushpin" is a drawing work that creates a representation of Google's company logo. Each pixel of the company logo has been replaced by one pushpin to bring physical presence to the iconic symbol. Then, the images of the piece were converted into an interactive map to allow visitors online to experience the work. The artist’s intent was to allow people to physically experience pixels, the atomic unit for visual digital communications. The project explores the relationship between the digital and physical spaces in which we live. The idea came from a term "Pixel Pusher."

This project was made during my stay at Djerassi Resident Artists Program.

The piece is acquired by Google San Francisco and being displayed at Google Data Arts Team in Google Creative Lab.

Project: YouTube Channel Visa Longest Goal

Agency: AKQA
Client: Visa
My role: concept / design

Description:
The channel’s sole purpose is to get fans to upload videos of their best “goooal!” cheer and weave them together to create one never-ending, triumphant chant.

Most soccer fanatics are already familiar with the the elongated and climactic pronouncement of the word “gol,” and recall that it was made popular by Spanish-language sportscastor Andrés Cantor at World Cups held in the early 90s. Cantor reprises his now famous cheer for the YouTube channel and even includes a few tips for YouTubers looking to improve upon their shouting abilities.

Project: The King Has...
The installation “The King Has…” offers individuals the opportunity to anonymously unburden themselves of secrets responsible for producing unnecessary stress. Through the public revealing of these secrets a larger discourse is facilitated about their content, and at a macro level, why the secrets were “secrets” in the first place.

A collaboration with Krister Olsson.
